Everyone wants to go organic. They are realizing that it is a lot healthier to eat organic foods. Do you know what the organic beef definition is? Organic beef is beef that comes from grass fed cattle. This means that they cattle were only allowed to feed from natural grass. They are rotated from field to field so that they can only eat grass that is high in natural nutrients.
There is a lot of different organic meat. There is organic pork, organic bison, organic lamb and organic chicken. There is also other food that is organic from organic fruits and vegetables to organic dairy products. It is the same for all of these products, they were either fed natural food or they were grown with no pesticides being used.
Organic beef prices can be a little more expensive than grain fed cattle. This is especially true if you just buy one small piece of grass fed cattle at a time. In this case you are going to pay a lot more for it by the pound. But if you buy a half of organic beef straight from the farmer or online you will pay a lot less for it.
When you are cooking organic meat there are some important things to remember. First of all it cooks faster then regular meat so you need to watch it carefully when cooking. Organic beef should not be cooked well. It works best at medium to medium rare. Depending on what kind of organic beef recipe you are using you may need to add a moisturizer to it. This can be things like onions and peppers. These will help to keep your beef moist and tender.
Organic steak is a favorite among a lot of people. They are great to grill. Make sure you use some olive oil or oil on your steak because organic steak has no marbling like a lot of steak has. Again, never cook an organic steak well done. It will become tough and have no taste. Medium to medium well is a good rule to remember.
Whatever organic beef that you choose to buy you can be happy knowing that you are buying meat that is good for you and full of the nutrients that you need to fight off diseases.
