Grass fed beef is an organic beef and it is the best kind of beef that we can buy that will be healthy for us to eat. Cooking grass fed beef is a little different then cooking regular beef. This is because there is not as much fat in grass fed beef. We are going to talk about some recipes that are out there for grass fed beef cooking.
The biggest mistake that people make when attempted some grass fed beef cooking is cooking the beef until it is well done. Grass fed beef should only be cooked to medium or medium rare to get the best flavor from the meat. This kind of beef is very low in fat so you will need to use light oil when cooking it. You can use a truffle oil or even extra virgin olive oil.
Try out this grass fed burger recipe. Make your patties. Use caramelized onions, peppers or even olives to the grill. This will provide moisture for the burgers. Grass fed beef, again, has little to none fat so the meat can get a little dry if you do not add a moisturizer. Do not over cook these burgers. It takes 30% less cooking time for grass fed beef. Over cooking will dry out your hamburgers.
When you are making a grass fed meatloaf recipe you may need to make a few changes in the recipe that you have always used. The changes are that you need to add onions and/or peppers that have been sautéed until they are translucent. You may also need to add a little oil or olive oil to the meatloaf mixture. Remember there is no fat in grass fed cattle and you will need something to keep your meatloaf moist. This meatloaf will take less time to cook then your meatloaf that you cooked with regular beef.
