A lot of the cattle that is used to slaughter and be packaged for sale is crowded in to lots and forced to eat weeds and grass that were sprayed with pesticides. They are also given antibiotics to fight off any infections. When they are fat enough they are slaughtered. These things are done to keep the beef production business booming.
There are farmers that have stopped this kind of idea of raising beef cattle. They claim that this old method affects the meat, and that it eliminates all grass fed beef benefits. That people are eating all of this stuff that once was full of pesticides. This is why they have started raising grass fed beef. Grass fed beef means that the cattle are only fed natural grass. They are rotated on fields until they have reached a certain weight then they are slaughtered and sold to stores and restaurants. So needless to say, the grass fed beef taste is much better than non organic meat.
Grass fed cattle breeds are a lot healthier then cattle that are cramped into small lots and fed foods that are sprayed with pesticides. This means that when people consume grass fed beef they are eating healthier. They are only getting natural beef and not beef with all of the chemicals in it.
